In India it is a beautiful ancient tradition to compose music for the words which have emanated from wise sources and guides. This album is a collection of songs written by a spiritual guru known as Swami Yog Teerth, who asked Manish to compose musically, carrying a feeling of bhakti (devotion) and love for the master who guides our way with love and compassion in different moments of our lives.

1. Kabhi Alfaz Se
2. Mile Aap Jab Muskurate Hue
3. Milta Hai Sukoon Kitna
4. Yu to Teri Mehfil Mei
5. Tu hi Mera Osho Hai
6. Prakruti ke Pehaloo Mei
7. Jab Sara Kolahal Ja Chuka

"Teri Inaayat" : "Your Grace"

On the path of spirituality, it is said often by various masters that in spite of all the efforts, done by a seeker, what really works in the end is Grace. In Urdu, it is called Inaayat.

A seeker may do years of Sadhana with persistence and dedication, but towards the end he has to simply surrender and wait for the grace to shower. This is not an action in itself, but a pure spontaneous happening but an immense blessing.

This album is a collection of songs written by one of my spiritual guides known as Swami Yog Teerth. These songs carry a feeling of Bhakti, surrender, trust, patience and love for the masters. And that is why some songs have been composed in a Sufi style.

My first meeting with Yog Teerth happened in 1998 in Pune, India through my another master Gurudev, who has been his very close and dear friend and a fellow traveler on the path. And since that first meeting, a heart to heart connection was created which remains intact until now.

This compassionate master has always been available unconditionally and totally, irrespective of time of the day or the place where people would try to reach him for help and advice. In life, it is rare to experience a love of this kind which has no expectations whatsoever... there is only giving.

A few years ago, during one of our meetings in Vadodara, India, he was mentioning to me about a compilation of his songs and poetries which he had written. I expressed my wish to give music to some of those songs and he loved the idea. It did take a few years before finally all of a sudden, melodies for those beautiful devotional Sufi like songs started pouring in and within no time, 7 songs were composed and eventually recorded with wonderful group of singers and musicians.

Each song is an expression of gratitude towards the masters, towards the existence - for the grace, for the love, for the wisdom which has been showered by them. It reflects not only Yog Teerth’s own journey, but also carves a path for anyone who is on this journey, through his simple yet profound poetic expression. This can only happen when someone has travelled this path dedicatedly and intensely with all trust and surrender and it is indeed a privilege to give music to such a high quality of poetry, which is found rarely in these times.
