"For me, India is not just my motherland but a love affair with divinity, beauty, grace, simplicity, wisdom. It is not just any ordinary piece of land, but a whole different dimension of humanity's evolution on various levels. So many amazing aspects of life were born, grown and nurtured here which eventually carved a path for the rest of the humanity to discover something truly precious within one's being.

"Amongst the wonderful gifts India has given to the world, one of the most precious is music: the Ragas, created by the rishis or seers, were simply a musical manifestation of their deepest states of meditation. A reflection of such a state would naturally carry the fragrance and a glimpse of the dimension which lies across our routine state.

Symbolizing a love affair with the real spirit of India, this album is a musical landscape of such meditative spaces, passionately envisioned and crafted to create a space of joy and love with that energy field called Bhãrat, India." Manish Vyas

PRESS REVIEWS

"Declaration of love to India"

"The real use of music is to become musical in your mind." The beautiful quote from the mystic Hazrat Inayat Khan goes perfectly with the latest CD from the Swiss-based Indian musician, singer and composer Manish Vyas. The sometimes wistful, sometimes uplifting melodies, inspired by eastern ragas, touch the heart and open wide spaces in the body. They awaken a longing for India, which for me is more of a love story than a country. With its seven pieces of music, “India My Love” is a declaration of love for India. India is not only his homeland, but connects him "a love story with the divine, with beauty, grace, simplicity and wisdom," he writes. For him, the greatest gift that India has given to the world is music: "The ragas created by the rishis and sages were simply the musical manifestation of their deepest meditative states." With his songs, Manish Vyas wants to reflect the nature of the magical land, bringing its soul, depth and meditative space to life. He is convinced that mystical tones take us beyond everyday life so that we can connect with the infinite.

For me, that always works with his music. Karen Reber, YOGA DAS MAGAZIN, Switzerland 2.2023 (translated from German) original in German

"With his new CD, the meditation musician Manish Vyas, who lives in Switzerland, sends a musical love letter to his home country... India my Love. This time there are no sacred sounds, no specific instrument or a Hindu deity at the center of the music, but a mood: the six pieces are filled with a serene devotion, inviting to close your eyes, listen and hear the increasingly prolonged pauses between the individual tones. Milind Date on Bansuri and Bhagirath Bhatt on Sitar open the CD with an impressive spacious solo, followed by Manish on Santoor and Swarmandal, accompanied by gentle singing bowls, keyboards and vocals – of the finest!” (translated from German) Martin Frischknecht, Editor in Chief, SPUREN magazine Switzerland 1.2023

Why does music appeal so much to humanity? The whole of manifestation has its origin in vibration, in sound. This sound, which is called Nada in the Vedanta was the first manifestation of the universe.

Though music transcends language, culture and time, and though notes are the same, Indian music is unique because it is evolved, sophisticated and melodies are defined. - D. Saraswati

"Music without words means
leaving behind the mind.
And leaving behind the mind
is meditation.
Meditation returns you
to the source.
And the source of all is sound."
